Job summary

Marvin is seeking a hands-on designer/engineer to support product development in Warroad, MN. You will create and manage ECNs, update drawings and models, and help install prototypes for testing.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers and designers to refine designs and ensure compliant documentation. Ideal candidates have strong mechanical skills, basic woodworking tools experience, and proficiency with Inventor and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical skills with wood working tools (saw, drill, etc.).
• Proficient with MS Office and 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and train others.

Responsibilities

• Document management: create/update ECNs, drawings, and models.
• Lead project print planners; review redlines to meet drafting standards.
• Build, install, and test prototype units; develop working concepts for feasibility.
• Understand test criteria to meet product certification standards.
• Train others on installation processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers to document and test design concepts.
• Develop concepts using 3D modeling software.
