Job summary

Marvin is seeking a Product Design Lead to oversee the R&D team in Warroad, MN. The role drives design development, continuous improvement, and best practices while mentoring engineers and delivering projects on time and within budget.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 4+ years in design, and experience with 2D/3D modeling (Inventor preferred). Relocation support and a robust benefits package are offered by Marvin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 4+ years of Engineering design and development experience on multiple complex projects.
• Experience in design and/or manufacturing processes is required.
• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated success in leading/developing team members, project management, and business or operation systems.
• Ability to mentor others and encourage cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise R&D team members and write performance reviews.
• Provide technical guidance, leadership, and support to meet project cost, schedule and performance goals.
• Communicate design progress to department and senior leadership.
• Lead design activities, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration with operations, materials, marketing, sales and project managers.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and mentor team members to enhance design knowledge and skills.
