Job summary

HUXWRX Safety Co. in Millcreek, UT is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop and support prototype machining for R&D and early-stage products. You’ll collaborate with engineering to rapidly iterate parts and establish manufacturable processes for scaling.

The role emphasizes adaptability, problem-solving, and hands-on programming across CAM platforms while working in a tight-knit, in-office team focused on safety technology and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of CNC machining fundamentals.
• Experience programming CNC mills, lathes, and/or mill-turn machines.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced prototype or R&D environments.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving part designs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for prototype and early-stage development components.
• Program and support CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment.
• Collaborate directly with engineering teams to support rapid iteration and design refinement.
• Create efficient machining strategies for complex and low-volume parts.
• Support setup, prove-out, and troubleshooting of prototype machining operations.
• Recommend tooling, fixturing, and machining approaches for evolving designs.
• Optimize manufacturability while balancing speed, quality, and functionality.
• Assist with process development that can transition into scalable production methods.
• Work across a variety of materials including titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys.
• Support continuous improvement of internal prototype manufacturing capability.
• Maintain setup documentation and revision tracking for development projects.
