Job summary

Infleqtion in Boulder, CO is seeking a CNC Machinist to support rapid prototype development and precision fixture fabrication for advanced scientific hardware.

You will independently run 3-axis CNC mills and manual equipment, interpret drawings, and document setups and inspection results. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration with engineers and technicians on evolving priorities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years hands-on machining experience in prototype or toolroom environments.
• Ability to set up and operate 3-axis CNC mills and common manual machines; four-axis capability is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances, basic GD&T.
• Experience producing precision parts at tight tolerances (~±0.0005 in).
• Proficiency with dimensional inspection using gauges and metrology equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, cleanliness, and documentation in a fast-moving, low-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate prototype components and precision fixtures from drawings or verbal requirements.
• Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, grinders, printers, laser systems.
• Create or modify simple CNC programs and select tooling; collaborate with Master Machinist on complex tasks.
