Woodward is seeking an experienced Prototype Machinist for a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm start) in Colorado. You will design and execute complex CNC machining, select fixtures and tooling, and develop robust CNC programs for prototypes. Mentoring colleagues and applying 5S/lean principles are part of the role.

The position emphasizes precision, process improvement, and safety, with competitive hourly pay and a full benefits package starting at date of hire.

Qualifications

• Design and execute complex machining processes for prototype parts.
• Create work holding, fixturing, and tool selections for complex parts.
• Create, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs.
• Mentor other machinists and support process improvements.
• Apply 5S and lean manufacturing practices to daily work.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operations: set up, program, and run CNC machines for prototype parts.
• Design and refine machining procedures to ensure accuracy of prototypes.
• Perform advanced inspections using gauging equipment and CMM reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
