Job summary

Dorman Products in Madison, IN is seeking a Prototype CNC Machinist to program, set up, and machine prototype parts. You will measure parts, interpret blueprints, and use Mastercam to support production timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • CNC programming, set-up, and machining experience.
  • Experience with Mastercam or similar programming software.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment, machining processes, and measuring devices.
  • Strong understanding of fit-to-function requirements and part tolerance standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality history.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet production deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and other departments.

  • Communicate machining challenges, quality concerns, and recommended solutions with Engineering, Quality, and other internal teams.
  • Support prototype development by providing feedback on manufacturability, process improvements, and equipment capabilities.

Job Summary
