Job summary

Dorman Products in Indiana is seeking a skilled CNC Mill and Lathe Programmer/Operator to drive manufacturing of precision components. You will program and operate mill and lathe machines, develop tool paths, and ensure parts meet drawings and quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring Haas/Okuma/Nakamura experience, Mastercam and SolidWorks know-how, and strong blueprint reading skills. Training is available for the right aptitude and self-motivated team players are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain tooling library and manage program vaults.

Job description

Job Summary

At SuperATV we are working to WOW our customers with innovative, race-tested products and world class customer service. Currently, we have a new opportunity to add a highly skilled CNC Mill and Lathe Programmer/Operator. This role will help continue SuperATV's growth and impact in the off-roading industry.

Primary Duties
  • The ability to program and operate mill machinery utilizing software such as SolidWorks, running tool paths, and fabricating products that meet drawing specifications. Develop CNC programs for production runs using Mastercam.
  • The ability to ensure the quality of our products by following inspection protocols, detecting and correcting errors before products are released. Experience with precision measuring tools and equipment required. Finding go/no go gauging for operations to use at the machines.
  • Be comfortable working with minimal supervision, using various shop tools, and maintaining CNC machinery.
  • Experience with Haas CNC 2, 3 & 5 axis mills, Okuma mills, Nakamura lathes, Haas lathes. We are happy to train the right person to what equipment we have with the right aptitude.
  • Analyze drawings to determine dimensions and to choose cutting tools, machine speeds, and feed rates.
  • The ability to modify and change existing programs for all machines. Prevent duplication of programs and manage the program vault.
  • The ability to maintain tooling database library.
  • Work with vendors to find new tooling opportunities.
  • Train operators as new part runs start, ensuring all safety and quality expectations are met.
  • Come up with new fixturing and better ways to manufacture.
Qualifications

Qualified candidates will be driven, detail oriented, and have proven working knowledge of CNCs including programming 3 and 5 axis mills, programming lathes, tooling, tool set up and changes, along with work set ups and change overs.

Education / Experience

To be successful, you must be able to multitask, prioritize, manage time efficiently, problem solve and be a self-starter. Blueprint reading skills and CNC operation experience are required. Completion of a technical or associate degree program is a plus. Experience with Haas, Okuma, Nakamura equipment and Mastercam experience are preferred.
