Job summary

System One is seeking an Associate Scientist to work onsite in Trumbull, CT. The role involves developing prototype products, designing experiments, and collaborating with packaging, process development, and manufacturing teams to advance product chemistry and performance.

The successful candidate will have a four-year chemistry degree or an associate with relevant industry experience, strong data interpretation skills, and proficiency in basic PC tools.

Qualifications

• Four year college chemistry degree or Associates Degree with relevant industrial experience.
• Advanced knowledge of detergents chemistry and ability to follow standard methods for product development.
• Basic PC skills including Word, Excel, and databases.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional teamwork with consumers and 3rd parties.

Responsibilities

• Designs experiments and work plans to develop prototype products meeting performance targets.
• Reviews data, interprets results, and proposes next steps.
• Collaborates with packaging, process development, and manufacturing during development and commercialization.
• Maintains lab notebooks and records as part of the official documentation.
• Plans tasks related to laboratory experiments, third party testing, and consumer trials.
• Reports project status and progress to team and management.
