Job summary

Roto is seeking a Mechanical Exhibit Builder to prototype, fabricate, assemble and install hands-on exhibits and displays. You will design mechanical solutions, prototype using wood, plastics, and foam, and perform installations with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires reading and interpreting technical drawings, CAD proficiency (SketchUp/SolidWorks), and a strong focus on safety and quality. Collaborative team environment with diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Must read, interpret and create engineering, production, and shop drawings.
• Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SketchUp, SolidWorks) is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality in exhibit fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and build mechanical solutions for exhibit projects.
• Prototype devices and evaluate via mock-ups and bench tests.
• Perform exhibit installations, repairs, and upgrades with clients and subcontractors.
• Document parts lists, schematics, and troubleshooting procedures.
