Job summary

IBA Worldwide is offering an onsite part-time Internship at the Northwestern Medicine Proton Center in Warrenville, IL. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience with the Proton Therapy System (PTS), troubleshooting equipment, and supporting maintenance and testing activities.

Hours range 15–32 per week, with potential night/weekend shifts and travel during training. Ideal candidates are pursuing Engineering or Physics degrees, with basic knowledge of Linux, CMMS, and software tools;

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physics or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with electrical/mechanical systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and deployment of the Proton Therapy System (PTS).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support routine preventative maintenance.
• Participate in system testing and QA activities.
• Support site operations and communicate status to leadership.
