Job summary

Ideal candidates hold an MS or PhD in medical physics and ABR certification or eligibility, with 2+ years of experience in a full-service radiation therapy setting.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in medical physics or related discipline.
• Board Certified or eligible for certification in therapeutic medical physics from the ABR or equivalent.
• Two or more years of prior work experience as a Medical Physicist or Medical Physics Resident in a full-service radiation therapy center.

Responsibilities

• Perform proton machine QA based on AAPM TG 224.
• Collaborate with clinical and medical staff on simulation and treatment planning.
• Provide ongoing oversight of the quality and safety of patient treatment delivery.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programs.
• Participate in clinical research and protocol efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement/improve new technologies.
