Job summary

Hampton University Proton Cancer Institute is seeking a full-time Medical Physicist to lead QA and safety efforts in a premier proton therapy program. You will oversee treatment planning reviews, dose verification, and equipment performance across multiple gantry rooms under the supervision of the Director of Physics.

The role requires ABR Therapeutic certification or eligibility, expertise in Eclipse, Varian systems, and MOSAIQ.

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in Therapeutic Radiology.
• Proficient with proton radiotherapy workflows and QA processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration within a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain QA programs for proton therapy equipment per TG224.
• Lead daily, monthly, and annual QA activities across treatment planning and delivery.
• Train staff and ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations.
