Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse is a leading broadline food service distributor serving over 50,000 customers with a network of more than 600 sales professionals. The COP Specialist will leverage protein expertise to provide insights on products to customers and drive sales across assigned accounts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in restaurant or professional catering sales, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Culinary Arts degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience in restaurant, food sales, or professional catering.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
• Self-starter and eager to learn.
• Driven, team player with responsibility and outcomes-focused.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow sales in new and existing accounts.
• Compile lists of prospective customers from diverse sources.
• Travel in the assigned territory to meet customers or engage by phone.
• Demonstrate products using samples or catalog and emphasize features.
• Quote prices, terms, and prepare sales contracts.
• Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
• Maintain records of business transactions and expenses.
• Collaborate with inside sales to keep accounts and literature up to date.
• Track stock levels and maintain customer data in the database.
• Build and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Investigate and resolve delivery problems.
