Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Control Room Operator to safely and efficiently operate the cooker and rendering equipment, ensuring high-quality finished products that meet food safety and production requirements.

You will inspect equipment daily, monitor material bins, report safety or mechanical issues, and assist in housekeeping. Strong communication and understanding of manufacturing basics are required; lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in oral and written formats.
• Understanding of fundamental manufacturing principles.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Ability to cross-train personnel to cover absences.

Responsibilities

• Operate cooker and rendering equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect equipment daily for safe operation and food safety.
• Monitor raw material bins, flows, and finished bins for safety and efficiency.
• Report safety, food safety plan, or mechanical issues to management.
• Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
• Assist maintenance as needed.
• Communicate issues with safety/production limitations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
