Texas Roadhouse, Inc. seeks a Director of Procurement - Protein Commodities to lead protein purchasing for our restaurant operations with emphasis on quality, safety, and cost. You will oversee sourcing, contracting, forecasting, and vendor relationships to secure reliable supply and competitive pricing.

The role requires collaboration with operations and culinary teams to drive cost improvements while maintaining high quality in pork, chicken, dairy, and beef categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply chain, food science, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive purchasing or pricing experience in proteins or perishable foods.
• Experience with protein suppliers, processors, or production facilities.
• Experience procuring pork, chicken, dairy, or beef.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate purchases for pork, chicken, and dairy; back-up for beef procurement.
• Forecast protein markets to inform needs, availability, and COGS.
• Review and approve product specifications for issuing and awarding contracts.
• Monitor inventories and source spot products when advantageous.
• Develop purchasing procedures that ensure quality while minimizing costs.
• Collaborate with Food Safety on quality and safety matters related to protein sourcing.
• Prepare reports on market conditions, costs, and forecasts.
