Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company is seeking a Protein Plant Operator to ensure product quality while operating RO, evaporator, and water polishing units in production and CIP processes.

The role requires proficiency in English, basic computer skills, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends with overtime as needed, plus the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Dairy manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate evaporator, permeate and polishing R.O.s, including production, CIP, and associated equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete paperwork.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures; ensure sanitation in CIP, COP, and cleanup.
• Maintain and monitor all QC and production programs per Hilmar Cheese & Ingredient standards.
• Complete and respond to all in-process testing.
• Communicate and work with team members to achieve department goals.
• Relieve operators for breaks and lunch as needed.
• Participate in master sanitation duties and GMP audits.
