Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain and repair electrical and electronic equipment in a fast-paced poultry/food manufacturing environment. You will read schematics, use meters, and perform preventive maintenance while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, set, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment (metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFD, PLC, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, electro-pneumatic valves, etc.).
• Read and interpret electromechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
• Use multimeter, megohmmeter, signal generator and computers.
• Perform timely repair and routine maintenance; preventive maintenance.
• Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
• Experience using power tools (saws, drills, impacts, grinder).
• Work in high heat, cold environments, heights, confined spaces; lift heavy objects; stand long periods.

Electrical Technician

What You’ll Need:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.


• Experience: Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus.


• Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player.


• Physical requirements: Ability to work in warm temperatures and lift 50 bs or more.


• - Install, program, set, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment (metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFD, PLC, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, electro-pneumatic valves, etc.)
  - Read and interpret electromechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
  - Knowledge using multimeter, megohmmeter, signal generator and computers.
  - Perform timely repair and routine maintenance.
  - Preventive maintenance on equipment.
  - Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
