Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment in a fast-paced food-manufacturing setting. The role requires reading schematics, using multimeters and related tools, and performing preventive maintenance.

You will operate in a 2, 2, 3 schedule with a base hourly rate and a shift differential for night shifts, supporting continuous plant operations and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in poultry or food manufacturing is a plus.
  • Must be able to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, set, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment (e.g., metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFD, PLC, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, electro-pneumatic valves).
  • Read and interpret electromechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
  • Perform timely repair and routine maintenance; preventive maintenance on equipment.

Electrical Technician

What You’ll Need:


Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.



  • Experience: Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player.

  • Physical requirements: Ability to work in warm temperatures and lift 50 bs or more.

  • - Install, program, set, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic equipment (metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFD, PLC, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, electro-pneumatic valves, etc.)
    - Read and interpret electromechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints, etc.
    - Knowledge using multimeter, megohmmeter, signal generator and computers.
    - Perform timely repair and routine maintenance.
    - Preventive maintenance on equipment.
    - Deal with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
    - Experience using power tools, saws, drills, impacts, grinder, etc.
    - Should be able to work on high heat and cold environments, heights, confined spaces.
    - Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Schedule: 2, 2, 3 schedule

  • Base hourly salary rate of $27.60 with a $1.00 shift differential for 3rdshift
