Job summary

Vir Biotechnology, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Temporary Staff Analytical Chemist to support characterization of therapeutic proteins and oligonucleotides across clinical stages. You will operate analytical labs including MS facilities and work on development and regulatory-ready studies.

The role is based at our SF HQ with at least 4 days/week in the office. The hourly compensation ranges from $56.00 to $70.00, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry with 0+ years (MS 4+ yrs, BS 6+ yrs) in analytical development.
• Experience in characterization of biologics and impurities with U/HPLC, CE-SDS, and iCIEF.
• Knowledge of state-of-the-art protein mass spectrometry techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on analytical lab support for process development and formulation development.
• Perform analytical testing and report results with process development and drug product teams.
• Apply mass spectrometry and other analytical methods to characterize Vir products.
