ATUM is seeking a Scientist for the Protein Analytics Lab in Newark, CA to develop robust analytical assays for diverse proteins, from monoclonal antibodies to complex enzymes.

The role leads developability panels, analyzes results, and collaborates with R&D, analytical development, and production operations. A Ph.D. is required; salary ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge of analytical techniques (HPLC, ELISA, LC-MS).
• Ability to develop analytical methods for diverse proteins including mAbs and enzymes.
• Design and execute developability panels to predict performance and stability.
• Interpret experimental results and integrate data across disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; troubleshoot issues and propose solutions.
• Maintain organized, detailed records and operate within LIMS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate robust analytical assays for proteins (mAbs to enzymes).
• Lead implementation of developability panels to evaluate stability and quality.
• Collaborate with R&D, analytical development, and production operations.
• Mentor junior staff and share technical guidance.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and documentation.
• Streamline procedures and contribute to automation efforts.
