Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a dedicated APS professional to investigate abuse and neglect of seniors and disabled adults. You will conduct home visits, interview victims and caregivers, and coordinate protective services across multiple counties.

The role requires independence, resilience and strong communication. Travel is required within the local multi-county area with occasional on-call shifts and hearings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• One+ years experience in Adult Protective Services preferred.
• High level communication and interviewing skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation of the elderly (60+) and disabled (18+).
• Conduct home visits to observe surroundings and interview victims and caregivers.
• Coordinate interventions and ongoing protective services needs.
• Be available for on-call rotation with other team members.
• Travel within local multi-county area for home visits, hearings and trainings; minimal overnight travel.
