Job summary

Randolph County is seeking an advanced, professional CPS social worker to provide protective, investigative and counseling services for at-risk children in Asheboro, NC. Responsibilities include crisis response, court testimony, and coordination of case management and preventive services.

The role requires a Master’s in social work (or equivalent) and relevant experience; on-call duties and testimony in court are possible. Sign-on bonuses may be offered based on position and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school.
• One year of social work or counseling experience (or equivalent).
• Ability to provide expert testimony in court hearings.
• Experience with investigations/assessments in child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Receive referrals and initiate investigations/assessments promptly.
• Petition custody and arrange foster care when needed.
• Maintain case records and documentation consistently.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate response to safety concerns.
