Qualifications

Join us as a Protective Services Officer Armed II at TriHealth

We are hiring for a full-time evening shift (0.9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period) at Bethesda North with great benefits. Officers must be at least 21 years old. Responsibilities include:

1. Patrolling buildings and grounds to deter and prevent violations of law and policy.
2. Posting at specific locations as assigned to ensure safety and security for patients, visitors, and staff.
3. Maintaining communication with the Communications Center and other Protective Services personnel via radio, phone, and other devices.
4. Controlling access to hospital premises, contacting unauthorized persons, and reporting hazards and safety violations.
5. Responding to and investigating complaints and emergencies, including distress calls, panic alarms, and disorderly conduct.
6. Assisting clinical staff with patient restraint and monitoring potentially combative patients.
7. Directing traffic, controlling parking, and enforcing parking rules.
8. Maintaining security logs and providing information and directions to visitors and staff.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience in Criminal Justice, Private Security, Police, or Military preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Current private security handgun certification or ability to obtain within 45 days.
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 4 points.
• No recent DUI/DWI or major moving violations.

Working conditions involve climbing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, reading, walking, standing, and other physical activities. Officers must be able to carry a firearm at all times and follow use of force policies to protect themselves, staff, and patients.
