Job summary

The State of Michigan is seeking an intake specialist for the Centralized Intake unit in Grand Rapids. You will answer hotline calls reporting abuse or neglect of children and vulnerable adults, documenting information from callers under strict timelines and in accordance with law and policy.

This role may offer remote/hybrid scheduling for a period, with equipment provided. You will work on-site at the Grand Rapids location and participate in shift preference ranking during interviews.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls to the MDHHS Centralized Intake hotline for reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of children and vulnerable adults.
• Document caller information and interview details in required systems.
• Enter and verify information in MiSACWIS and MiAIMS per procedures.
• Rank shift preferences during interview phase as part of flexible scheduling.
