Objective

This position, under the supervision of the Captain, is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.

Essential Functions

1. Read and understand English to effectively carry out rules, orders, instructions, and training materials.
2. Communicate effectively in person and via electronic devices in English.
3. Maintain professionalism and courtesy in stressful situations.
4. Compose reports and short paragraphs in English as necessary.

Job Duties

1. Perform security patrols.
2. Enforce access control procedures.
3. Protect property from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
4. Investigate incidents and write reports.
5. Assist customers, employees, and visitors with procedures.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Candidate Qualifications

• Must be a Lawful Permanent Resident with honorable discharge from the U.S. Armed Forces or a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have a Social Security Card.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of armed security/law enforcement experience or military service with honorable discharge.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment medical, drug screening, background, and credit checks.
• Favorable FPS Fitness Determination.
• State License, 40-Hour Initial Weapons, 36-Hour Basic Training, Refresher Training, MEB, OC, First Aid/CPR/AED, FPS Orientation, FPS NWDTP, FPS Firearms Qualification.
