Job summary

Bureau of Indian Education is seeking a security professional to patrol assigned areas, inspect facilities, and monitor security to protect property and individuals. You will coordinate information to ensure policy conformance and provide guidance on applicable laws and procedures to staff and clients.

The role includes responding to emergencies, delivering first aid as needed, and completing routine reporting. A background security check is required and a 2-year trial/1-year probation may apply.

Qualifications

• Must meet OPM Individual Occupational Requirements.
• Experience with protective duties or security operations is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain CPR and AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform foot and vehicle patrols and monitor security of areas or buildings.
• Coordinate information to ensure program policy conformance.
• Explain laws, regulations, or procedures to management, personnel, or clients.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid if necessary.
• Complete forms, documents, or routine reports.
