Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old and under 40 at referral.
• Carry and use a firearm.
• Maintain firearm proficiency.
• Uncorrected visual acuity no worse than 20/100.
• Corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear.
• Submit to a drug test prior to appointment.
• Complete intensive training at FLETC and specialized training.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection for key locations including The White House.
• Travel in support of presidential and foreign missions.
• Enforce mandated protective responsibilities as per U.S. law.
