Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Repair Center Technician in Wendell, NC to diagnose, repair, test, and validate protection relays and related electronics. You will support customer and internal repair needs by evaluating returned products and documenting findings to maintain Siemens’ high standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on electronics repair experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while adhering to safety and ESD controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree completed.
• 4+ years in electronics repair or related technical roles.
• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute repair activities from initial evaluation through final test documentation.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and rework of protection relays and related electronic components.
• Perform qualified failure analysis to determine root cause, repair approach, and validation steps.
• Disassemble, repair, clean, reassemble, set up, and validate returned products to Siemens standards.
• Load firmware, update software, and verify device configurations as required.
• Utilize automated and manual test equipment to ensure repaired units meet performance and quality requirements.
• Document repair findings, corrective actions, root cause information, and test results in SAP, Salesforce, and other systems.
• Communicate with Customer Service, Quality, Engineering, Logistics, and other stakeholders to clarify failures and needs.
