Job summary

Eversource NH is seeking an Electrical Protection and Control Technician to assist with testing, maintenance, and operation of protection equipment, IEDs, relays, PLCs, and SCADA systems across the NH territory. The role requires an Associate degree in electrical technology or related field (BSEE/BSET encouraged), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel and work overtime, including storm restoration duties.

Successful completion of the EEI Technician Aptitude Test is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical technology or related field; BSEE/BSET encouraged.
• Valid driver's license required.
• EEI Technician Aptitude Test must be completed successfully.
• Union-represented position; bargaining unit rights apply.
• Overtime availability and storm-related travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist testing, maintenance, and operation of protection and control equipment.
• Work with IEDs, protective relays, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Install, test, and repair protective relays and telecommunications gear.
• Follow drawings and manufacturer manuals; use test equipment and tools.
• Travel territory and participate in storm assignments and restorations.
