Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Protection & Control Engineer through its Qualus University's 2027 Engineering Boot Camp, a full-time Engineer I role with a structured training and development program to accelerate growth in the power industry. As a Boot Camp Engineer, you’ll dive into focused instruction, immersive site visits, and hands-on substation safety training, plus FE exam prep from day one.

Whether drawn to Protection & Controls, Power System Studies, Substation Engineering, or Relay

Qualifications

• Requires travel up to 10% of the time.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for customer discussions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Substation Design Engineers and Relay Settings Engineers to ensure design concurrence.
• Develop complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communication systems.
• Support project teams to meet quality and project management goals.
• Meet all project deadlines and follow processes to achieve them.
• Maintain up-to-date technical skills for substation protection and control schematics.
