Qualus Corporation in Raleigh, NC offers a 2027 Engineering Boot Camp for Substation Design Engineers, pairing a full-time Engineer I role with structured training and development in the power industry. Participants gain classroom instruction, site visits, and hands-on training in substation safety and equipment, plus FE exam preparation from day one.

As a Boot Camp Engineer, you’ll work with Protection & Control Engineers on layouts, and four tracks guide your growth into the area you find most

Formación

• BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with Substation Design Engineers, Relay Settings Engineers, and other groups to ensure design concurrence.
• Design Substations utilizing applicable codes and client standards; general arrangements, electrical layout, elevation views, trenching, grounding, conduit drawings, and power systems.
• Complete calculations such as AC/DC load, bus spans, and ampacity.
• Create equipment and material specifications for procurement and design scope/cost estimates.
• Support project teams to meet quality and project management goals and deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date technical skills related to substation design and protection schematics.
