Job summary

The U.S. Navy is seeking a Prosthodontist to restore oral function and aesthetics through expert diagnosis, treatment planning, and the design of crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants.

You will lead clinical teams, mentor dental staff, and support operational readiness by ensuring service members maintain optimal oral health. This is a full‑time, in‑person role with housing on base and excellent education benefits.

Qualifications

  • DMD or DDS from an accredited school.
  • Completed a CODA-accredited prosthodontic residency in the U.S. OR in the final year of a CODA-accredited residency in the U.S.
  • Board certified or board eligible in prosthodontics.
  • Between the ages of 21 and 65 per Title 10 U.S. Code.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, plan, and design prosthetic solutions (crowns, bridges, dentures, implants).
  • Lead clinical teams and mentor dental staff while supporting operational readiness.
  • Contribute to research and innovation in prosthodontic care.

Prosthodontist – U.S. Navy (Active-Duty Dental Corps Officer)
Full-Time, In-Person | Not Remote | Prosthodontics
Total Annual Compensation: $223,883 – $275,461
Responsibilities:

As a Navy Prosthodontist, you restore oral function and aesthetics through expert diagnosis, treatment planning, and the design of prosthetic solutions, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implants. You lead clinical teams, mentor dental staff, and support operational readiness by ensuring service members maintain optimal oral health. You may also contribute to research and innovation in prosthodontic care.

Potential Practice Locations:

Illinois, California, Washington, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and more.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • DMD or DDS from an accredited school
  • Completed a CODA accredited prosthodontic residency in the U.S. OR in the final year of a CODA accredited prosthodontic residency in the U.S.
  • Board certified / Board Eligible in prosthodontics
  • Between the ages of 21 and 65 (Title 10 U.S. Code section 531 and 532)
