Job summary

High Point University invites applications for a full‑time, 12‑month Prosthodontics and Digital Dentistry faculty appointment with OHN. The role combines patient care through the Oral Health Network and education of DMD/AEGD learners in WSDM. Reports to the Chief Dental Officer.

The candidate should have a DDS/DMD with NC licensure, CODA-accredited prosthodontics training, and board eligibility, plus strong digital dentistry skills and leadership ability. Travel to OHN sites is required.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree with active full dental licensure in North Carolina.
• Completion of CODA-accredited prosthodontics residency in the United States.
• Board-eligible from the American Board of Prosthodontics.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience in dentistry.
• Proficiency in digital dentistry applications (intra-oral scanning, CAD-CAM, 3-D printing, digital treatment planning).
• Leadership or program-building experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, approachable, and receptive to feedback and continuous coaching.
• Integrity, innovation, and trustworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and emergency patient care within the OHN.
• Document patient history, examination findings, diagnosis, and treatment planning in EPIC.
• Utilize digital technologies: intra‑oral scanning, photography, 3‑D printing, CAD‑CAM, and imaging.
• Deliver restorative dentistry with an emphasis on implantology.
• Provide coverage for other OHN providers as needed.
• Serve as attending clinical faculty for DMD and AEGD residents.
• Participate in curriculum design and pre-clinical simulation lab courses.
• Develop a digital innovation lab for education and application within the HPU OHN.
• Provide continuing education courses in HPU WSDM as a content matter expert.
• Act as a clinician role model for learners within a start‑up education model.
