High Point University invites applications for a full‑time, 12‑month non‑tenure‑track Periodontology faculty appointment in the HPU Oral Health Network and Workman School of Dental Medicine. The role includes patient care and educating pre‑doctoral students and post‑doctoral residents.

The candidate should have a DDS/DMD, CODA‑accredited periodontology training, ABP board‑eligibility, and be eligible for NC licensure, with preferred experience in private practice and dental education.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree and NC licensure eligibility.
• CODA‑accredited periodontology program completed.
• Board‑eligible by ABP.
• 5 years of clinical dentistry experience preferred.
• Private practice and dental education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive periodontal diagnosis and treatment for OHN patients.
• Document patient history, exam findings, diagnosis, and treatment in EPIC.
• Utilize digital technologies for implant planning, intraoral scanning, photography, 3D printing, CAD-CAM, CBCT.
• Cover for other OHN providers as needed.
• Serve as attending clinical faculty for DMD and/or AEGD residents.
• Design curriculum and pre‑clinical simulation labs.
• Deliver continuing education courses for HPU WSDM.
• Act as a clinician role model within a startup education model.
