Job summary

HPU Health- Oral Health Network within High Point University WSDM seeks a full‑time Endodontology faculty member to deliver patient care across OHN and teach DMD students and post‑doctoral residents. The appointment is non‑tenure track, overseen by the Chief Dental Officer.

Qualifications include a DDS/DMD and CODA‑accredited endodontics training, with board‑eligibility preferred. The role involves clinical care, teaching, curriculum design, and continuing education in a dynamic startup

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree and eligibility for dental licensure in North Carolina.
• Completion of a CODA-accredited endodontics program.
• Preferably board-eligible from the American Board of Endodontics.
• 5 years of clinical practice in dentistry preferred; teaching experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to articulate operational and analytical data.
• Experience documenting in EPIC and using digital endodontic technologies.
• Willingness to travel to OHN sites within one hour of High Point, NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive endodontic diagnosis and treatment for OHN patients.
• Apply evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes in OHN.
• Document patient history, examination findings, diagnosis, and treatment planning in EPIC.
• Utilize digital technologies such as microscope, CBCT, CAD-CAM, and 3D printing.
• Cover for other OHN providers as needed.
• Serve as attending clinical faculty for DMD and post‑doctoral residents, coaching learners.
• Assist in curriculum design and delivery in classroom and simulation settings.
• Provide continuing education courses at HPU WSDM as a subject-matter expert.
• Maintain a clinician role model for learners in a startup education model.
