Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Sacramento is seeking a Per Diem Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics team. This clinician fabricates a variety of orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients, measures and fits patients as prescribed by the medical staff, and serves as a clinical resource to staff.

Qualifications

• Orthotist certification required.

• Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting under supervision of the Orthotics/Prosthetics Manager.

Job Description

We currently have an opportunity available for a Per Diem Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join our Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics team. This position is responsible for fabricating a variety of orthoses for inpatients and outpatients as prescribed by the medical staff, measuring and fitting patients for appropriate orthoses, and serving as a resource to staff regarding assigned areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate specific orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients utilizing a variety of technical skills and knowledge
• Provide appropriate direct patient care in a clinical setting under direction of the Orthotics/Prosthetics Manager and within established procedures
• Performs a variety of administrative and operational support functions for department and according topatient needs
• Expectations regarding policies and procedures of department, hospital and professional interaction

Required Responsibilities:

• 1 year Orthotist, certified
• 1 year Prosthetics
• American Board for Certification and Prosthetics
• Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC)

The pay range for this position is $97,094.40 - $188,139.74. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
