Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a Per Diem Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist to join the Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetics team. You will fabricate orthoses and prostheses for patients, measure and fit them, and serve as a resource to the staff in your area.

The role requires certification as an Orthotist and Prosthetist (BOC) with about 1 year experience in each area. This is a per-diem position with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits across Shriners Children’s facilities in the

Qualifications

• BOC Certification (Orthotics/Prosthetics) required.
• 1 year Orthotist certification required.
• 1 year Prosthetics certification required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate specific orthoses and prostheses for inpatients and outpatients using a variety of technical skills.
• Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting under the Orthotics/Prosthetics Manager.
• Perform administrative and operational support functions for the department and patient needs.
• Adhere to department, hospital and professional interaction policies and procedures.
