Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Purchasing Agent at the VA Medical Center in Vancouver, WA.

The role involves acquiring Veteran-specific medical equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with FAR, VAAR, VHA and Prosthetics policies. The incumbent will coordinate vendorization, manage records in eCMS/FORCE, and ensure fiscal accountability through proper purchase execution and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical purchasing of veteran-specific medical equipment, supplies and services.
• Familiarity with FAR/VAAR/VHA policies.
• Ability to validate vendor eligibility and SAM registrations.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities for prosthetics and related items.
• Prepare Acquisition Plans and Procurement Packages with required documentation.
• Upload and manage quotes, bids, invoices, and related records in eCMS/FORCE.
