The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Goose Creek, SC seeks a Purchasing Agent to provide medical supply purchasing and inventory management support for prosthetic and sensory aid services, including durable medical equipment, to Veterans.

You will manage purchase orders and records, coordinate with vendors and clinical staff, monitor contracts, and help ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery of required supplies and services.

Competenze

• Specialized Experience: one year of experience equivalent to at least GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation, e.g., interpreting prescriptions, maintaining contact with vendors, utilizing databases, purchasing equipment and services, reconciling charges and submitting reports.

• Manage data collection for reports to ensure funding and compliance.
• Complete transactions in medical records to document purchases.
• Research solicitation methods and purchasing procedures for cost-effective sourcing.
