Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Non-Supervisory Prosthetic Representative Trainee to administer, supervise, and perform work related to prosthetic and sensory aids services for Veteran-patients.

The role involves learning through orientation, study, and assigned objectives within a comprehensive Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Program. The trainee will gain experience in data analysis, budgeting, contracting, procurement, inventory management, HR, and supervision, while developing

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing and provision of prosthetic items/services.
• Ability to coordinate multiple requests for durable medical equipment (DME).
• Ability to work with clinicians, patients, caregivers and vendors to ensure appropriate devices.
• Ability to monitor contractors and vendors for contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and directing a Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Program at various levels.
• Advise clinicians on selection, prescription, and procurement of prosthetic devices.
• Authorize purchases and supervise the processing of service requests.
• Coordinate prosthetic clinics and related visits, including home/vendor visits.
