Job summary

Newberry College is seeking an Admissions Experience & Events Coordinator to orchestrate campus visits, events, and outreach from first contact through post-event follow-up. You will shape the prospective student and family experience and partner with Admissions Operations for technical implementations.

The role requires creativity, initiative, accountability, and ownership, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as events demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 1-4 years of experience in admissions, event planning, customer experience, hospitality higher education, or related roles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with urgency, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating meaningful experiences for students and families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute daily campus visits, open houses, admitted student events, counselor programs, and other recruitment initiatives from conception through post-event follow-up.
• Develop new programming and recruitment initiatives to strengthen student engagement and enrollment outcomes.
• Champion the prospective student and family experience with warmth, hospitality, and professionalism.
• Improve attendance, reduce no-show rates, and maximize ROI for visits and events.
• Lead front desk operations and support office operations to ensure a welcoming, professional environment.
