Job summary

Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana HQ seeks a Specialist, Research & Qualification to drive donor research and qualification, elevating prospects to active portfolios. You will help inform engagement strategies for Corporate Engagement and the Impact Fund teams and maintain donor records and activity tracking.

You will collaborate with Donor Care to implement moves management, track qualification activities, and support the advancement program. Some travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–5 years’ work experience, preferably in prospect research, fundraising, and/or revenue generation through annual campaigns
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to successfully work in a collaborative, team-oriented organization.
• Flexibility to travel overnight up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Implement a fast-paced prospective and lapsed donor research strategy meant to identify, connect with, and qualify potential donors to re-engage and elevate to an active portfolio through a robust moves management process.
• Actively move a dynamic portfolio of prospects and lapsed donors through the qualification process using reports, dashboards, and engagement plans to make a comprehensive effort to connect with and understand the donor’s affinity for the mission, interest in continuing to engage, and potential for continued support.
• Collaborate with Donor Care teammates to implement a donor research strategy that informs stewardship efforts for the entire Advancement team, including internal & external research, contact information and connection intelligence gathering, and utilizing actions to ensure stewardship completion.
• Collaborate with Donor Care teammates on the tracking and reporting of qualification activities and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
