Job summary

Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana HQ seeks a Specialist, Research & Qualification to mine and identify prospects, engage, qualify, and elevate them to the Corporate Engagement and Impact Fund teams. You will maintain donor records, track activity, and source contact information to inform engagement strategies for the Advancement team.

This full-time role requires collaboration with Donor Care, moves management, and the ability to travel up to 15% to support engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 - 5 years' work experience, preferably in prospect research, fundraising, and/or revenue generation through annual campaigns
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to successfully work in a collaborative, team-oriented organization.
• Flexibility to travel overnight up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Implement a fast-paced prospective and lapsed donor research strategy meant to identify, connect with, and qualify potential donors to re-engage and elevate to an active portfolio through a robust moves management process.
• Actively move a dynamic portfolio of prospects and lapsed donors through the qualification process using reports, dashboards, and engagement plans to make a comprehensive effort to connect with and understand the donor’s affinity for the mission, interest in continuing to engage, and potential for continued support.
• Collaborate with Donor Care teammates to implement a donor research strategy that informs stewardship efforts for the entire Advancement team, including internal & external research, contact information and connection intelligence gathering, and utilizing actions to ensure stewardship completion.
• Collaborate with Donor Care teammates on the tracking and reporting of qualification activities and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely data management.
