Job summary

Cal Poly Humboldt, part of the California State University system, seeks a Prospect Research and Development Specialist to identify new prospects and support fundraising decisions. You will provide research to inform Directors of Development, engage donors, and contribute to the division’s administrative tasks.

The role covers donor research, database maintenance, and providing research briefings for fundraisers, with a focus on aiding major, annual, and planned gifts.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience.
• Preferred experience in advancement or fundraising.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Donor prospect research and database integrity (45%).
• Administrative and clerical support for University Advancement (50%).
• Prepare correspondence, reviews, and materials for fundraising proposals.
• Other duties as assigned and liaison within the Development team.
