Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC is seeking a Duty Manager to ensure daily airport operations run safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. You will oversee and coordinate team activities to deliver reliable service at the Jacksonville station.

The role requires supervisory experience, the ability to recruit and supervise staff, and a commitment to safety, policies, and regulatory requirements. You will lead by example, manage overtime, and support a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to obtain required credentials for airport/state/customs.
• Supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates team activities related to airport operations.
• Coaches and mentors employees, including disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists in recruiting, payroll, scheduling, and other administrative duties.
• Monitors staffing, overtime, and financial performance of the station.
• Promotes team-building to motivate staff.
• Ensures safe working conditions per regulations and Unifi policies.
• Supports safety, anti-harassment, and equal employment opportunity policies.
• Performs other duties as required.

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manager. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties

• Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
• Coaches, counsels and mentors employees, including issuing disciplinary action as required.
• Assists in recruiting, a dministrative, payroll, employee scheduling, and general administrative duties.
• Monitors staffing and overtime use and operational and financial performance of the assigned station.
• Promotes team‑building initiatives to develop and motivate team members.
• Monitors and enforces safe working conditions in accordance with regulatory requirements, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws.
• Promotes and adheres to policies concerning Safety, Anti‑Harassmen t and Equal Employment Opportunity.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Q ualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.

Preferred Q ualifications

• Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical requirements

• Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs; and constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out. May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.

Working conditions

• You will need to have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. We operate in a shift bid environment.
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment.
• Enjoy the outdoors on a daily basis (sun, rain, sleet or snow!) May be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, jet and machinery noises, fumes, dirt and dust for extended periods.
