Job summary

Vassar College seeks a Department Advancement Job Family Administrator to support the Prospect Development and Research team. You will analyze wealth indicators, compile research materials, and advise gift officers on donor cultivation strategies.

Reporting to the Director of Prospect Development and Research, you will help maintain data integrity, prepare trustee materials, and train staff on database use. This role blends research with strategic fundraising support.

Responsibilities

• Support Advancement and Prospect Development and Research missions and standards.
• Identify new prospects, reevaluate known prospects, and build a donor pipeline.
• Conduct in-depth financial and biographical research on constituents.
• Compose research materials highlighting key information for fundraisers.
• Act as a strategic consultant with gift officers to tailor research use.
• Guide work by tailoring reports and answering questions about wealth and giving likelihood.
• Prepare briefing materials for the president and senior staff for events.
• Schedule regular meetings with fundraising partners to set goals and strategies.
• Process visit reports, monitor solicitations, and coordinate trustee data updates.
• Provide database training for Advancement staff.
