Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a ProSolutions Shop Supervisor to lead daily shop operations, ensuring safe, efficient maintenance of specialty equipment. You will supervise technicians, manage workflow, and uphold safety standards while coordinating with branches to support customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• 3+ years of experience in equipment service, fleet maintenance, or related field.
• Supervisory or team lead experience in a shop or service environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems relevant to ProSolutions equipment.
• Experience with OSHA and other safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate activities of service technicians and shop personnel.
• Oversee inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of ProSolutions equipment (pumps, generators, climate control, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Mentor and train technicians to promote safety and efficiency.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering of tools, parts, and supplies.
• Conduct shop audits for cleanliness and adherence to standards.
• Inspect outgoing equipment for proper function and customer specs.
• Collaborate with branches to support operations and satisfaction.
• Document and report shop metrics and costs.
• Troubleshoot complex repair issues and provide hands-on support.
