Responsibilities

• Review reports from law enforcement to determine need for further investigation and possible case refinement.
• Draft accusations and indictments; evaluate defenses; negotiate pleas and dismiss non-prosecutable cases.
• Develop trial strategy, present to grand jury, question witnesses, and recommend sentences; manage arraignments and pre-trial conferences.
• Subpoena witnesses, research and argue motions, and ensure discovery requirements are met.
