Job summary

The Douglas County District Attorney’s Office in Metro Atlanta seeks an experienced Trial Line Assistant District Attorney to handle felony-level cases from charging through trial. Develop case strategy, conduct legal research, draft motions, interview witnesses, work with investigators, communicate with victims and families, negotiate resolutions, argue in court, and, when necessary, try cases.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Bar license required.
• Experience handling felony prosecutions preferred.
• Strong written and oral advocacy and courtroom presence.

Responsibilities

• Handle felony-level criminal cases from investigation through trial.
• Develop case strategy and conduct legal research.
• Draft motions and pleadings; interview witnesses.
• Coordinate with investigators and law enforcement; communicate with victims and families.
• Negotiate resolutions and argue in court; try cases when necessary.
