Job summary

Middlesex District Attorney's Office seeks Assistant District Attorneys to represent the Commonwealth in criminal proceedings in our District, Juvenile and Superior Courts. ADAs handle pre-trial, trial, and post-conviction matters, including bail arguments, motions, pleas, jury and non-jury trials, and appeals.

Starting salary of $72,000 per year with 4 weeks vacation, sick leave accrual, 3 personal days, and comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, plus retirement benefits and a state

Qualifications

• J.D. degree or equivalent and admission to the MA bar in good standing.
• Strong legal writing and research skills.
• Familiarity with criminal law, criminal procedure, and evidence.
• Commitment to developing trial advocacy skills through training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Commonwealth in criminal proceedings at pre-trial, trial, and post-conviction stages.
• Handle bail arguments, motions, plea negotiations, and both jury and non-jury trials.
• Work on cases across District Court locations including OUI, weapons, narcotics, and other offenses.
